The oil and gas industry continues to announce layoffs, even as the industry is struggling to grapple with the low crude oil prices. The layoffs have now extended to the management, with Halliburton laying out a plan to do away with senior manager positions. Added to this, many employees are encouraged to adopt early retirement.
